Freelance

A freelancer is usually a self-employed person who does not work for any specific company, which means they could potentially work for more than one company (if they become a freelancers client). They could even end up working for quite a few clients at the same time.

Being a freelancer can have its advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages:

You are boss                                                                                                                               You can decide when you want to work                                                                                   You can set how many hours of work you can do                                                                       Any profit that is made is your own                                                                                                 You can decide where to work, (if your working on a portable device).                                       you may be eligible for Universal Credit if you are sick

Disadvantages:

The income that you earn can become irregular if you do not work all year
You have to fill out tax return sheet every three months as well as a self-assessment sheet
You can't afford to get sick as you don't have any access to sick pay and many of                      the government benefits

Becoming a freelancer

To begin with, a person would have to decide what their company name is and what its going to sell, then they would have to think about investments, for an example a freelance photographer would have to invest in a camera body/lens and a PC/Laptop to send of or to edit photos, and would need services like adobe photoshop to edit their own photos.

Some freelance companies have partnerships which can have their advantages like sharing the responsibility and ideas of the company, but all profit that has been taxed needs to be split with the partner of the company, and there could also be trust issues because if the partner is not trusted, the company will become unstable as the work load might not be shared evenly.

Some of those freelance companies are called Limited Companies in which the owner would employ a director and would have at least one share holder, an advantage of this most of the liability will be the director's problem not the owner's and a disadvantage would be have more rules to abide by and to have more legal responsibility.

ANIMATED BBC 2

I was tasked to do an AC DC logo, if I was to improve this piece I would have made the video a bit quicker instead of letting everything come in slowly.

I was tasked to create a simple medal in photoshop, and for me personally, I found the task quite easy because I knew most of the tools in Adobe Photoshop, all I just needed to know were they were, as it was a completely new layout compared to the one that i currently use at home. I only partly followed the tutorial that was set because I already know what I was doing.

If I was to improve myself work I would have payed more attention to the blue ribbon on top of the medal, because as you can see one of them is not right.
